In the Castle Of My Mind and The Clearing are blog spaces created for students enrolled at Spelman College in Atlanta GA. The questions and discussions posted here are exploratory and intended to inspire critical thought and exchange.
Co-hosting this site are Opal Moore, Director of the Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Program, and Dr. Michelle Hite, an Honors Faculty Fellow. She is an Assistant Professor of English in the Department of English and an interdisciplinary scholar who teaches and writes about literature and culture. Professor Moore is a creative writer and teaches about literature by Black women.
Guests writers and scholars, including Spelman faculty, are welcome to join us on the site.
